MEHVE[dot]COM V15 [Sweet Intoxication] [Christine and the Phantom] [Celebrating One Year of Insanity]

History

Mehve.Com was a gift from my parents for my 13th brithday as it was on my wishlist. I almost went with Endore.Com Hosting plans until I found out that the space of 1GB wouldn't be enough. Already, my Evangelion file was 400 or so MB and that wasn't including my other files, so I gave up on that plan and went on searching. With help from my online friend, Fiona, (who owns Hamha.Net), I asked what hosting plan she uses and it was e-starr.com hosting. I looked at the plans and they seemed very good to use. So, I signed up with E-starr and here is Mehve.Com.

Now the name of Mehve.Com is a different story. As my sn or username on every single forum that I'm on is MaggieMehve, and while trying to find out a good name for my domain, my friend and current host of MehveGhibli, thought of mehve.com; and so I went with that. Mehve is a wing glider from Studio Ghibli's first movie called Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind (or Kaze no Tani no Naushika). Mehve's are one of my favorite things, I even remember back when I first saw it (as it was my introduction to anime) back when I was 7, I absolutely loved the mehves; I even was drawing plans to create a mehve of my own with my horrible drawing skills back when I was little. O.o I was planning to make a lab of my own like Thomas Edison did, and make it before I hit 12-years of age. Alas, I'm thirteen and my only lab is my dad's lab, however I did create something. The creation was first MehveGhibli; a great successor for a first try on web development, and now I have Mehve.Com; so I guess you may say, that I did create something. ^_^

My History of Webdesign

I chose to make a site dedicated to Studio Ghibli in late 2002.
I used Microsoft Word thinking that it would work (hey, I was a newbie! xD). Worked on the site for more than a month
Joined Wingsee messageboard (stopped going there after a few months) in January 2003
Joined Merkey.NET forums on February 14, 2003. I was sick that day. =P (still going there for more than a year)
Published MehveGhibli, hosted by Thibros.
Released a second version of it in late Spring 2003. Got MehveGhibli use the Princess-mononoke.COM domain for temporary use. Got more than a million hits.
Went to University of Arizona for a computer camp to learn about Dreamweaver, Flash and other Macromedia stuff. Thankfully, I learned real coding in those weeks.
Bought Dreamweaver MX in late July 2003.
Began working on MehveGhibli in the real way (never finished it though) and other sites like Evangelion came in the way.
Asked my Dad if I could get my own domain.
Got the idea of Mehve.COM from my friend Thibros.
Got Mehve.COM from E-starr in January 2004.
Published site in late January to early February 2004.
Got PSP 8 in Easter of 2004.
Learned PHP coding from around the web and from a booklet I got for Christmas. =D
And to this day, I still work hard on many projects for webdesign.
